Shipping and Refunds

Although we do offer a live arrival guarantee for shipped chicks things can happen. If available extra chicks will be added to the order. If for some reason you open your box to find some have perished on the way, please email us immediately with a picture of the perished chick in the box. 

Our hatching eggs are packaged very carefully to avoid any broken eggs during shipment. Two dozen eggs can be safely shipped in a large flat rate box. If your order is for more than two dozen eggs they will be shipped in two separate packages and shipping rates will apply for each package. If available extra eggs will be provided on orders for less than two dozen. 

Unfortunately, we are not able to ship chicks or eggs to Florida or Southern California. Hopefully soon that will change! 

Orders that require shipment need to be paid in full prior to shipment. If the orders are not paid the items shipment date will be delayed until payment has been received. 

*Refunds for Orders*

Since we use PayPal as our main payment source we are charged a fee for the initial purchase as well as a return. Returns will be charged 5% of total purchase. This fee covers the fee that PayPal charges us for the transaction.

Orders can be cancelled up to 72 hours before scheduled shipment. Orders are unable to be cancelled and refunded less than 72 hours prior to scheduled shipment. 


* Holding Chicks and Eggs * 


We do not hold chicks or hatching eggs that have not been pre-paid. The reason we are not holding them anymore is strictly because of demand. Often times people have not shown up and others miss out. It’s easier for us to keep track of things by pre-payment. 


If pre-payment has been made we will hold the order (chicks or eggs) for two days after the initial email stating the order is ready for pick-up. I will try and contact the buyer via email, and if I do not get a response back within 24 hours after the second email has been sent, 70% of the total cost will be refunded.  Once the refund has been made another email will be sent out informing the customer of the refund and reason for the refund. 


If an order has been placed and a special request has been made to hold the chicks for more than one week (max of two weeks) a $5 increase per chick will be added on to the total cost. 

These policies may sound strict, but due to high demand I cannot hold the chicks for very long and make numerous attempts at contacting the buyer.
